My 2011 Top 20 best twitter account (Not to include the celebrities)

I joined in this tweeting world last 2008. But you see I'm not active on this micro blogging not until April 2011 for the reason that I can't update it anymore. I have so many accounts in networking sites; I have two accounts on now defunct friendster.com ( which I rarely open it and thank God that its owner already  demolished that site.. ha-ha! ) , three accounts on Multiply.com , three accounts on blogger.com , one account on Facebook.com and etc. I started to update my twitter account when these social networking sites mention above became too boring for me. So boooo! I’m tweeting with the username akolasalista, following and being followed. Yeah, recently I have 17, 568 tweets to date, I follow 344 people (celebrities and ordinary people alike) and 653 follows me (well I’m not a celebrity to have millions).

Every End of the Year I am fond of listing my top contacts in multiply .com. I first did this listing last 2008 when I listed my top 20 contacts at my account in multiply and many have responded. Well apparently I’m an Active user of multiply at that time. 

This 2011 since I’m active in twitter.com than any networking sites, I decided to list my top 20 best twitter account that I follow. I spent one day and a half to think of criteria to this.  The Criteria are as follows:

1. Display Pictures: Well to prove that it’s really an authentic account not a poser, DP or Display Pictures must be real and attractive ( you know what I meant ha-ha-ha).Apparently and I’m certain, that is the main reason why people follow you, because of your DP or Display Pictures.
2. Number Of followers: It’s really an achievement if you are not celebrities yet you manage to gain followers.
3. Attitude : Won’t explain this further. Self Explanatory (ha-ha-ha-ha-ha)
4. Tweets : Your tweets also help you gain follower/followers. Your tweet defines who you are
5. Frequency: How frequent or active you are in updating your tweets.

Lastly, I have a special spot to this guy who manage to have so many followers in twitter, 269 865 to be exact and still counting. Apparently He is dubbed as one of the internet celebrities.  He is famous in tumblr, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. In fact he has a fans-club named Paolo-lovers (though I'm not a part of that club. ha-ha-ha). I saw his tumblr account (kimpoyfeliciano). I must say he is good in blogging, as well as editing pictures. He has wild and intelligent imaginations. I also watched one of his videos in you tube particularly the '"hi miss"   video. I must say it is funny,and interesting. Currently it has 683 900 hits and counting still.

Farewell 2011, Welcome 2012

2011 is almost over. Few Days from now we will be now welcoming the end of the world (ha-ha-ha-) like in the song 2012, another year for all of us. Another Chapter that will be unfolding but we really don't know what 2012 has in store for all of us, humans. I am certain that it's not the end of the world. New Year for me well in fact a transition to a new beginning! Perhaps a new beginning to start again our old routine, apparently our old habits same as the previous year or maybe again to start a better you. Better us!

Sa unang pagkakataon ako’y sumulat ng isang blog na ginamit ko ang wikang Filipino.

Para po sa lahat, hindi po lingid sa ating kaalaman ang nangyari sa Mindanao partukular sa Iligan at Cagayan de oro noong nakaraang Sabado Desymbre  17 taon dalawang libo at labing isa, Sinalanta ng bagyong Sendong ang kabisaya-an at ang MIndanao at nag dulot ng baha sa nasabing lugar. Marami po ang nawalan ng tirahan, marami po ang nawalan ng hanap buhay at marami din po ang namatay. Yan po ang dulot na walang humpay na ulan dala ng bagyong sendong.

Sa mga pangyayaring ito, hindi maiiwasan ang mag tanong na ano kayang gagawin ni Pangulo Binigno “noy-noy” Aqunio. Ano kaya ang mga plano niya noong kasag-sagan ng bagyong sendong. Saan po bah siya. Sino ang kasama niya.

Napag-alaman po sa isang tweet ng actress na si Valerie Conception na andoon po siya kasama si Pangulo sa isang party ng mga PSG sa Malacanang at masayang nakikiparty sa kasagsagan ng bagyong Sendong. .

Maraming nagalit, maraming bumatikos kay Pangulong Aquino dahil umanoy nakuha pa ng Pangulo na dumalo sa party habang ang kabisaya-an at Mindanao ay sinasalanta ng bagyong sendong. Maraming mga kuro-kuro, marami ng nakisawsaw sa isang tweet ng aktres.

Ito tayo, wala tayong alam kundi mag-sisihan, hahanap tao nga taong mapagbubuntungan ng galit. Sa sa pagkakataon na ito si Pangulo Noy-Noy at ang mga Aqunio dahi lang sa isang tweet ng aktres tungol sa pag dalo ni Pangulo sa isang PSG party.

4. Kahit sino din naman ang Pangulo ng Pilipinas, binabatikos nito.  Hinahanap ng mali.

5. Hindi sulosyon ang magsisihan, tumulong na lang

Hindi po ako taga Iligan at Hindi po ako taga Cagayan de Oro, Pero Bilang Pilipino, may responsibilidad akong para tumulong. Yan na lang sana ang ating magagawa! Ang magsisihan ay walang mabuting maiidulot. Hindi po ako Pro-Aqunio o Anti-Aquino.  Alam natin na maraming nawalan ng tirahan, maraming nawalan ng hanap buhay at maraming namatay. Tama po, mahirrap po na tangapin ang lahat.  Pero sana naman yong mga tao hwag ng dagdagan ang hirap na dinadaranas nila ngayon. TUMULONG NA LANG TAYO BILANG ISA DIN PILIPINO.

Hong Kong black travel alert to the Philippines; Fair enough?

The Hong Kong government has issued a black travel alert to the Republic of the Philippines. An alert encouraging their people not to travel in the Philippines. This travel ban was made by the HK government due to the Manila hostage Crisis last Aug 23 2010.  One Year later 2011 RP is still under the black travel alert from HK government. RP government urges HK government to at least lower the travel ban because RP tourism has lost 12 million already and thats big! 

The Philippines is not the only country that Hong Kong Government issued a black travel alert. Along with the Philippines, Syria ( a country that experiences today a rally-war against its government)  has a the same travel alert that the Philippines has from Hong Kong Government. 

The question now is; Is it really fair that Philippines and Syria are in equal labeling in terms of travel ban? If the  two countries are being compared if we talk about peace and orderliness; The Philippines are way better compare to Syria; Where Syrian government are killing protesters. Thousand Syrians are on the march and more demonstration and rebellion against the Syrian government are happening up to this date.  

To Hong Kong government; is it fair enough that our country Philippines are being labeled same as with the Syria to have a black travel alert?

To the Philippine Government; What actions were done in order to prove HK government that our country is a peaceful country to travel and that Manila Hostage Crisis was just an isolated incident ( though we Filipinos mourned together with the HK nationals as well)

Though Jem always a trending topic in twitter every time he performed on stage but Jem made it to 11th place during the grand finals of PGT with 2.86 percentage of votes

She is a Filipina known for her character as kim in Miss Saigon. Where she won the Tony award for Best Leading Actress defeating some of the best Broadway actresses . She was also the singing voice of jasmin in Aladin in 1992 and mulan I and II in 1998 and 2004 ( she is the original voice of the reflection, Christina Aquillera just did the pop version). She is the first Asian to do the character of Eponine in Les miserables on Broadway. IN 2007 Salonga sung the "Triumph of the One" in the closing Ceremony in Asian games held in Doha Qatar. Lea Salonga is not just the treasure of her own country Philippines but to the whole Asian continent. She is truly a FILIPINO. She always made the FILIPINO proud of her, with all her performances here and around the world. A lady with a heart, She is also engage with much outreach program. There so much about Lea Salonga. Her achievements, her life and her career.

Truly she is not just Philippine's pride but for the whole asian continent as well. She is Maria Ligaya Carmen Salonga or known as Lea Salonga. an International Broadway actress, An award winning T.V and Movie actress, a recording star. All that and more in only one persona.

What a Sunday evening…I was watching AMBITION 2010 at ABS-CBN. It was all about concoction of different short film from different filmmakers that tackles life, government, people and leaders in the Philippines. Two films that really touch me are the “faculty” and “PSG”.

The Film Faculty shows how the teacher influences a student. True, teachers are our second mother at school. What they taught us would make us a better person to our society. The second one is the Film PSG, simple yet consequential. The statement in the film that hit me most is this ‘di bale hindi magaling wag lang palpak”. And that statement says it all.

Thanks to ABS CBN- ako ang simula, who has the passion in making us believe that there is a room for improvement and for the betterment of our country. Ambition 2010 was just right to be shown this time for we are facing another page for our country and that’s on MAY 2010! Because of this I will practice my right of suffrage this election…
