True Value of a Filipino: The Madrigal Siblings

Ako ay isang Pilipino! I am a Filipino! That was I felt during the performance of The Madrigal Siblings during the Grand Finals of Pilipinas Got Talent season two( a franchise of got Talent). Great performance from a Filipino! I was astonished on how they sang and interpreted the song Bayan Ko ( "My country") and Magkaisa ( lets Unite) . They sang it with dignity and pride! The combine powerful voices of The Madrigal siblings are truly world class!

They should have won the competition or even be part of the top three finalists but unfortunately they got 3.68 Percentage of the total vote making them to the ninth place. :( The people decided and voted for Marcelito Pompoy's rendetion of "The prayer" ( a guy who have a feminine/woman voice)

But Nevertheless, The madrigal Siblings make me proud that I am a Filipino in thoughts, in words and in deeds! The madrigal siblings ay isang huwaran at ipindama nila sa atin na tayo ay isang tunay na PILIPINO sa isip, salita at sa gawa!

What a Sunday evening…I was watching AMBITION 2010 at ABS-CBN. It was all about concoction of different short film from different filmmakers that tackles life, government, people and leaders in the Philippines. Two films that really touch me are the “faculty” and “PSG”.

The Film Faculty shows how the teacher influences a student. True, teachers are our second mother at school. What they taught us would make us a better person to our society. The second one is the Film PSG, simple yet consequential. The statement in the film that hit me most is this ‘di bale hindi magaling wag lang palpak”. And that statement says it all.

Thanks to ABS CBN- ako ang simula, who has the passion in making us believe that there is a room for improvement and for the betterment of our country. Ambition 2010 was just right to be shown this time for we are facing another page for our country and that’s on MAY 2010! Because of this I will practice my right of suffrage this election…
